Welcome to Florida Gamma ChapterTau Beta Pi is the only engineering honor society representing the entire engineering profession. It is the nation's second oldest honor society, founded at Lehigh University by Edwards H. Williams Jr. in 1885 to recognize students of exemplary character and distinguished scholarship. There are now collegiate chapters at 237 US colleges and universities, active alumnus chapters in 16 regions across the United States and a total initiated membership of 530,778. Numero Uno:Number One in the nation!Message from Adam (Advisor and ex-President, FL Gamma): We were awarded the Chapter Project Award, which is given to those chapters who show quality work in several areas including the community, university, chapter and to you the members. This is a HUGE opportunity for our chapter as we have received this award for several years running and are able to present a scholarship on behalf of the National Organization to a well-deserving Tau Bate as a reward for our efforts.
Engineering Futures SessionsTau Beta Pi Engineering Futures Program was established to provide interpersonal skills for engineering students. This is accomplished through the presentation of sessions on campus by alumnus Tau Bates who are trained in the materials. Sessions are offered in People Skills, Team Chartering, Analytical Problem Solving,and Group Process. Check the calendar for more. Engineering ExpoEngineering Expo is an annual event that shares the world of engineering with grade school children, and offers the opportunity to learn the importance of science, math, and technology in driving the future.
